Urban Beach House In Barcelona Becomes An Amazing Summer Retreat
Barcelona is still a beach for most locals. Indeed, a beach that is attached to an open-air museum, with a few stoves always ready for the tasty tapas and a real city with customs and history.
Barcelona attracts couples, who try to capture the whole essence of the city life in a few square meters with sea views to turn them into their summer retreat. This renovation made by Egue Y Seta Architects incorporates the beauty of the astonishing city.
Forty-eight square meters are often enough for two people. However, space optimization never hurts. And moreover, the new distribution of the house, tearing down the walls of the old rooms, the kitchen, the bathroom, and the hallways managed to create three unique stays segregated but visually connected.
This was the case of Jacques and Hannes and their cozy little flat in the heart of the traditional fisherman's neighborhood of La Barceloneta.
Mediterranean pastel blue together with white accents are mixing with industrial black installations. In the background, the yellow brick on the walls and the ceiling blends with the wooden accents on the furniture.
A good sense of taste includes portraits and modern design elements: a mosaic floor that integrates the living room and separates it from the dining room.
The bedroom integrates the nature above the wardrobe and gives a fresh touch to this space. The suspended luminaire looks like a fluffy cloud floating above the bedroom.
