STAGE MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Stage Manager at College Light Opera does pretty much what stage managers everywhere do.  He or she is present at all blocking rehearsals to take notes and perform work for the director.  The Stage Manager is in complete control of the theatre from one hour before curtain until the company is dismissed after the performance.  During the performance the Stage Manager calls lighting cues and gives the necessary warnings to cast members for their entrances.  He or she supervises set changes between scenes or acts.

We are seeking an individual for this position with maturity, wit, patience, and tact.  Exceptional leadership ability is called for along with the ability to win the respect of intelligent young artists and technicians.  We are looking for an undergraduate or graduate student for this position which we regard as one related to our overall goal of educating people in the world of practical theatre.

Possession of a car is very helpful, a drivers license is mandatory.  Mileage on company business is reimbursed.
